Long story short: I had a friend who was rude to me nearly every time we hung out either with her words or her actions. I am the shy/quiet type so I internalized it and never said anything. I got a 36 as a composite score for my ACT (36 Math, 36 Science, 35 Reading, 35 Writing), but only an 8 on my essay. I am currently searching for a job. Graduated in engineering and pursued a job but did not like it. I am in a temporary job which doesn't create a lot of stress. I feel disappointed in the job market and in most things people don't really think about. It's exhausting following the unnecessary rules of society like office politics, drama, wearing fancy clothes to give the illusion you give a ****. I feel like I am an actor, just pretending because everyone tells me to. Pretending to care about people's drama even though they don't care about me. SOmetimes though what specialisation you take is immaterial as you will have to specialise in what you do. M Tech may be a proof to say that you have the grit to specialise. Once that is proven, you can on your own specialise in amny associated fileds. To be doing microprocessor work, a BE may be adequate. You may see data sheets of some micro's from ATMEL and Renesas to judge for yourself.

I am in the process of transferring to University of Arkansas to pursue engineering. I spend my freshman and sophomore college years in accounting, and finally realized I hated it. I loved her as much as I've ever loved anyone, but I think I fell into things too quickly. After a while it seemed as though the relationship was 75% me and 25% her. I am a computer engineering student, and I'm studying at a computer college (I would not like to specify the name for privacy) here in the Philippines. I graduated from a science high school here in our province. As many people know, the curriculum in schools like that are more advanced than national high schools'. So I used to experience a slightly "advanced learning", if you know what I mean. Then when our classes have started, the lessons introduced to us were a bit easy than expected. I looked forward for some harder lessons, but what I got are the basic ones. I am kind of disappointed until now and I have nothing else to do but to adapt with the education they give. Besides, I think the essence of college education are those killer essays, brain twisting math problems, etc. but I guess it really depends on your school. My solution is to not just rely on everything that the school will offer, I will challenge myself and push harder for further education. Good thing there's the internet with lots of websites that can help me with their learning resources. And another thing, the reason why I want to challenge myself is to unleash more of my hidden potentials and to be competent.

Most of the recent college grads cannot find job and those who do get job offers, discover that the rate being offered is ridiculously low. For example, I graduated with bachelor of science in mathematics back in 2008. For many many months there was no job that I could find. Then I gave up hunting for job and instead decided to pursue master's in math. When I heard news by the phony Obama circle that "job market is picking up", I started to apply for job. Then I finally got a full time job offer as "energy analyst". I then discovered I am being offered 13.50 an hour only. That is ridiculously low job offer for someone having bachelors in math, computer science, engineering or physics. People make that without any degree working as cashier in store. I questioned why 13.50 an hour only and the recruiter said in an apologetic tone, "this is all we can offer. times are tough". After some more conversation I discovered that it is a "temp" job. Then after some more conversation I discovered that there are no benefits being offered. Then after some more conversation I also discovered that, "training will not be paid. first 4 weeks is training". So he is saying that for the first 160 hours I work free because training is not paid. And then its also a temp job. I thought after 160 free hours, he will just say "its temp job so its over now" and take a lot of work. I refused the offer.

I have an SWR Bass amplifier LA series 12. It recently stopped working and just makes a loud hum when I turn it on. After inspecting I noticed the speaker is being pushed out which (correct me if I am wrong) indicates DC voltage passing were it shouldn't’t. I inspected the power amp (power supply) and found a brown stain around a 22 microfarad capacitor. If this is bad it would pass the DC voltage when it shouldn't... correct? Wow, this is some interesting stuff, and to immediately answer your question, it's kind of reassuring to know that the "talented" are within reach of most everyone's capabilities if they truly work for it and put themselves in the right setting since intellectual barriers such as IQ are mainly focused on our social upbringings and environment and don't truly express what intelligence is. It explains how people who have scored considerably low in school and other grading systems while still turning out to be some of the most brilliant people of all time (Charles Darwin and Stanley Kubrick both suddenly come to mind with this). With that in mind (supposing I've got the gist of what you are explaining), are you saying that it is our social confidence and how we believe we fare in relation to the rest of our society that determines our "talent"? If so this leaves me with a few questions that I'm hoping you could clear up: Firstly, if we are all born with the same amount of "talent" and our surroundings then shape our neurological capacities and abilities, wouldn't that mean that all upper class people would be relatively close in terms of their IQ, while everyone in the slums would maintain a poor IQ (which isn't true, brilliant people have risen out of the streets, and failures have emerged from wealthy families) such that there would be a more noticeable trend? You don't know who Bill O'Reilly is? Weird, I thought most people knew who he was since he's been around forever. But the funny part about this whole thing is that I totally get what he meant when he first said that, but apparently it was a metaphore that was way over people's heads and they took it literally. He meant, that our existence here is not something you can explain. Sure, there are scientists who have theorized about the big bang theory, but they can't prove that with any kind of certainty. And to believe them would basically be like putting your faith into their ideas. Also, why do so many people no matter where they are in the world, since the beginning of human history has been documented all have stories and evidence of their belief in a higher power? It's almost unfathomable how much of a coincidence it is that every single culture believes there is some power that may be up there. And that CAN'T BE EXPLAINED. So that is what he was saying. Not that tides can be explained, but that existence and why things are the way they are can't be explained. I get it. It takes more deep thought than his critics gave him credit for. I am not a O'Reilly fan, nor a big proponent in proving God's existence, but I actually am with him on his basic premise for his argument. In fact it actually proves that since it can't be explained God's existence can never really be proved or disproved, which is where my stance is.

Why am I so paranoid?

There are jobs out there, but that's not to say you'll get a good one with any major you pick. If you have a job in mind that requires a degree, and you can get the degree for less overall than you'll make in your first year at the job, then go for it. But don't go to college without a plan for how you'll use the degree you'll get, and don't spend a fortune on any degree.

What to do with my roommate that I caught getting off to my feet while I was sleeping?

This sounds completely made up and some people might think that I'm trolling but I am 100% telling the truth. A couple of nights ago my friend that I've known for about 4 years, and new roommate had a problem. I actually woke up in the middle of the night and he was at the foot of my bed looking at my feet and getting off to them. I am in NO WAY homosexual and I felt (and feel) completely violated. I confronted him and he had a super nervous breakdown (crying and whatnot) and he confessed that he's been doing the same thing to his other roomates that he had throughout college. Since he's a really good friend of mine I really want to give him another chance but everything is WAY too weird and I don't feel comfortable sleeping in my own room. So, I asked him to leave yesterday and I just don't know if I should give him a second chance or kick him out for good. I know that it is a SUPER serious crime and if I had reported him that night he would of gone to jail for 10-15 years for sexual assault in the 6th degree and be labeled a registered sex offender. academics ****. I will tell you this. its hard, but thing is if you got into that "prestigious school", it means that you are academically prepared to be at that school. and seriously, everyone fails at least three times during college, but what matters if that you dont give up. but if you are still concerned, then just focus on one class for the summer and try to know everything about it, talk to students who already took the class, talk to that teacher, read the book, and other sources, and while you are studying , try to cut your facebook or yahoo answer time and just focus, and then when you actually get to college, you have one less class to worry about.:) but seriously, dont even stress. college will be the best time of your life and you don't just want to study for the next 4 years.. do you?

I have a 4.07 gpa for sophomore and junior years, 3.83 including freshmen year. I first took the SAT last month and scored 1870 on it. How do I know if a vehicle I purchase from a dealer doesn't have any problems?

I'm looking for a used cargo van. But I'm paranoid that the dealers that have them aren't trustworthy.
