You forgot the elimination of reproductive rights for women but yeah, you pretty much nailed it. The republibaggers have simply convinced enough drones that they are the party of Jesus so those sheep will pretty much vote for them no matter what. The fact that the republican party stands in the way of almost all of jesus's teachings seems to matter not at all. They've created a solid base of pure fear.
