Do you think the "Nyan Cat" would be the UNOFFICIAL mascot of "Gay Pride"?

Of coarse it's because of the "rainbow" common bond. With the meme that became recently popular, and the Pride events coming to my city soon, I just wanted to ask this question. So what about this idea? Please give me your opinionated answers.
