Does he like me? Why is he acting like this?

at the last school dance i grinded and slow danced with this guy. during out slow dance he asked me to kiss him so we did and then we made out once and then again right in front of everyone. later he messaged me asking me if i was changing schools, i said yes and asked if that changed anything and he said no. we were going to hang out this summer. he left for camp a week ago and just got back yesturday. him and i chatted for a bit and no real signs of flirting. everyone has been talking to him about what happened at the dance and he keeps telling them to shut up. he even made up a different version of the story that said i was the one who started making out with him and that he never asked me to. that is a false story! he is acting as if he is embarrassed by what we did but when i talk to him some of his words make him sound like he likes me. yesturday he found out his parents are making him switch schools and that really upset him. my friend asked him about me and he said "tell her i dont deserve her, i dont deserve sh!t. i've had a tough year and i dont want drama. so i am staying away from the ladies this summer" i get that he is upset and all but he should of told me himself. the fact he said "i dont deserve her" makes it sound like he likes or liked me. give me your opinions. does he like me or not? y is he acting like he doesnt but his words say he does? o and i am 14 so dont worry about the making out publicly part
