Sims 3: How/Can you detonate without being publicly disgraced?

Yeah, the title pretty much says it, I'm going to try to get that detonating challenge soon, the one where you have to detonate 150 things, and I don't want everyone in my town to hate me (because detonating causes public disgrace), so is there any way to avoid it? Oh yeah and I've done it before and I got publicly disgraced for blowing something up in my own house! >:T
