Why has AARP dropped its long standing opposition to social security reform?

The USA must take the health insurance 'industry' by the scruff of the neck and beat it senseless. When it wakes up, it should be told that health insurance for every living soul in America will be given a fair and affordable policy, which pays up without quibble when a doctor confirms an insured condition.
